NextPlot

NextPlot is a lightweight macOS viewer that turns numeric CSV and text data into clear two-dimensional line graphs. Requires macOS 13.0 or later and a Mac with Apple silicon. Open a data file and NextPlot automatically calculates the graph scales. Each selected Y series appears in its own stacked graph with a shared X axis, making it easy to compare changes while keeping every series readable. FEATURES - Open CSV and plain-text data files - Automatically detect comma, semicolon, or tab delimiters - Read UTF-8, Shift-JIS, and BOM-marked UTF-16 files - Handle quoted fields, delimiters and line breaks inside quotes, empty cells, and different line-ending styles - Select the series you want to display and change their order - Zoom, pan, move through the data, and return to the full range - Automatically calculate axes from the data visible in the current X range - Set independent top and bottom Y-axis margins from 0% to 100% - Choose the data-line color - Show or hide vertical and horizontal grid lines and choose their color - Save graph settings to a separate file and restore them later - Save the current appearance and series order as the default for newly opened files - Use colors that adapt to Light and Dark appearances - Access an included manual and save the bundled sample data wherever you choose DATA FORMAT The first row contains column names. The first column supplies numeric X values, and each named column after it supplies a Y series. Missing, nonnumeric, NaN, and infinite values are ignored without changing the alignment of other valid X/Y pairs. Example: X,Temperature,Pressure 0,20.5,1012 1,20.8,1011 2,21.1,1010 NextPlot opens your source data as a viewer and does not modify it. Graph settings are stored separately only when you choose to save them. PRIVACY All data processing takes place locally on your Mac. NextPlot does not connect to the internet and does not use analytics, tracking, advertising, or cloud services.
